When you watch Doom X RTA, then you tell yourself that Steam Crave has been emulated. It’s not necessarily a brand that is going to make the headlines, but Damn Vape regularly releases little gems. The latest is the RDA Mongrel with its supplied glass top cap which was at an unbeatable price. This time, he brings us the Doom X RTA, the particularity of which is that it “takes a lot of inspiration” from Steam Crave’s Aromamizer range, in particular the Supreme V3.

    Doom X RTA’s Juice Control

The Doom X RTA is 26 millimeters in diameter and it can hold 5.5 and 8ml capacity. The latter is done with a bubble pyrex, but what makes it look like a cut and paste of the Supreme V3 is that Damn Vape put a control juice. At the bottom of the Pyrex, just before the deck, you can close the juice arrivals and fill the tank without any leaks. It is not specified if we can do as with the Supreme V3 where we can disassemble the deck while keeping the tank closed.

Steam Crave crushed the RDTA market in 2020 with its unique controlled juice closure system. Whether it’s the Ragnar, the Aromamizer or the Supreme V3, all these attys use this system. This allows you to change your coils and cotton with disconcerting ease while having a large capacity. However, these atomizers are RDTAs since they can be used as drippers while the Doom X is a pure and hard RTA.

    Mesh and Coil compatible

We feel that the “Steam Cravian” inspiration of Damn Vape from Doom X RTA did not go all the way. It can accommodate Mesh, but also Single coil. At Steam Crave, each deck is different whether for Mesh, Single or Double Coil. Damn Vape went more to the Profile RDTA from Wotofo which also had a standard Mesh and Coil compatible deck at the same time.

The Airflow is quite substantial with air inlets below and to the side. The flavors will be clearly present. Note that if you install the 8 ml pyrex, Damn Vape gives specific advice on cotton, it must be thick enough. And that may suggest that it won’t be that easy. You will have to be careful if you do not want to have a leak.

As usual, the brand is giving us a marketing arsenal telling us that the Doom X RTA is both Anti-Dry Hits and Leak Proof. A more than exaggerated statement.

The question is why buy the Doom X RTA when the Supreme V3 or the Ragnar do better and they are much more complete atomizers. The price ! The Doom X RTA retails for around $ 35 on pre-order. Steam Crave’s advanced RDTA editions are around $ 70. If you are on a budget, but are looking for an atomizer that is versatile on Mesh, Coil and has good liquid capacity, then the Doom X RTA can make a great alternative.
